The aftercare business can now conduct thorough fire door inspections and complete detailed reports & remedial works in accordance with the Building Safety Act and Golden Thread.
SJE can provide comprehensive fire door examinations in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005) by FDIS & BM Trada Certified Fire Door Inspectors. These comprehensive fire door examinations include:
• Evaluating their functionality under fire and smoke exposure
• Component compatibility
• Overall performance
• Installation methods
A detailed report including photographs of each defect will be produced (to adhere to the requirements of BS 8214: 2016 Timber-based fire door assemblies – Code of Practice) so any necessary remedial work is clearly detailed for the responsible person and if required the Fire Safety Risk Assessor.
SJE can then provide all the necessary services to attend site & carry out all fire door maintenance, repair & replacement works using BM Trada certified approved personnel following the BM Trada Accepted Repair Techniques and fully complying with the BM Trada Q-Mark Scheme.
Once completed, all works are then revisited by a certified inspector to sign off the remedial and/or replacement works and to confirm that the door now achieves the required standards and is compliant. All works are fully covered by comprehensive PI Insurance.
